Uzbekistan’s delegation achieved a historic result at the Asian Para Games held in Japan. Competing against delegations from 45 countries and territories, our athletes secured third place in the overall medal standings.
Throughout the competition, Uzbekistan’s athletes won 45 gold, 49 silver, and 51 bronze medals – a total of 145 medals.
This achievement set a new record in Uzbekistan’s history of participation in the Asian Para Games.
For the first time, the national delegation finished among the top three, achieving its best-ever results in both the total number of medals and the distribution of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Previously, Uzbekistan’s highest finish was fifth place, achieved at the 2014 Games in South Korea.
This achievement represents a significant outcome of ongoing efforts to develop para sports in Uzbekistan, prepare athletes for international competitions, and help them realize their full potential.
Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and specialists representing Uzbekistan on this historic achievement!
