An open dialogue session was held within the framework of "RCOY Central Asia 2026" with the participation of youth, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, Felipe Paullier, and the Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, Alisher Sadullaev.
The session was organized stepping away from traditional formats. The main goal was to create an opportunity for young people to ask their questions directly to decision-makers.
During the dialogue, a proposal to further strengthen cooperation between state organizations responsible for youth policy in Central Asia and to create a regional mechanism for this purpose was discussed. Additionally, issues regarding existing opportunities within the UN system for youth with disabilities and expanding their participation in international processes were raised.
Throughout the conversation, special attention was paid to the role of artificial intelligence and innovations in the future of youth, the opportunities created by new technologies, and the readiness of the younger generation for changing labor and social environments.
This meeting practically demonstrated that the participation of young people in political processes begins not merely by talking about them, but through direct communication, listening to their questions, and discussing their proposals.
