Young People Who Launched a Satellite Are Now Training the Next Generation of Engineers

The team of the Uzbekistan Robotics and Engineering Association qualified for a NASA competition focused on small satellites and successfully launched a satellite they had developed over eight months to an altitude of 2 kilometres in the US state of Virginia.
The young engineers also reached the final of the international ActInSpace space hackathon for the first time and took second place among teams representing 23 countries at the event held in Bordeaux, France.
Currently, the TechnoCamp invention and engineering camp is being held at the “Yoshlar oromgohi” youth camp in Bostanliq. Young people aged 12 to 17 from all regions of Uzbekistan are taking part.
During the camp, participants are learning to build satellite models, develop their own projects using 3D printers, design electronic circuit boards from scratch, and assemble and test RC aircraft.
They are also gaining experience in operating FPV drones and exploring new sports disciplines such as Drone Soccer.
The opportunities being created for young people today help develop modern knowledge and practical skills, strengthen their interest in technology and engineering, and contribute to nurturing the skilled engineers and next-generation leaders of tomorrow.
