Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

A prestigious international seminar titled “Young Peacebuilders’ Cross-Border Cooperation Initiative” has commenced in Fergana City as part of the Fergana Peace Forum.

This dialogue platform has brought together young people, experts, and sector representatives from the border regions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan around a common goal — strengthening peace, mutual trust, and regional cooperation.

At the opening ceremony, Alisher Sa’dullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, emphasized the importance of strengthening friendship and trust among the youth of neighboring countries in today’s globalized world. He also highlighted the growing importance of expanding joint projects in the fields of startups, innovation, digital technologies, and social initiatives.

It was particularly noted that the “World Youth Movement for Peace” initiative proposed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly is fully aligned with the goals and objectives of this seminar.

Within the framework of the seminar, experts from the United Nations, OSCE, PeaceNexus, CMI-Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, and other international organizations are sharing their practical experience in peacebuilding, youth diplomacy, and regional cooperation.

The program, which will continue until 25 June, includes panel sessions, experience-sharing activities, and practical discussions. Today, Fergana is becoming an important international dialogue platform that brings together the youth of Central Asia and contributes to strengthening mutual trust, friendship, and cooperation.
