An Uzbek Girl Won the World German Language Olympiad.
In Göttingen, Germany, Rayyona Ibrohimova from Uzbekistan won the World German Language Olympiad. Students from 62 countries participated in this Olympiad. Rayyona Ibrohimova shared the first place with Mahek Khan from Bangladesh and Ana Kotevska from North Macedonia.
In the competition assessing knowledge and creativity in the German language among young students, “silver” and “bronze” went to representatives from Mexico, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, and the UK. Rayyona is 16 years old and plans to study German studies in Germany in the future and become a translator.
