“Youth Month” and “Global Youth Festival”

Within the framework of the traditionally held "Youth Month" this year, 9,452 neighborhoods, 208 districts, and cities hosted spiritual and educational promotion events, competitions, festivals, and forums. These events saw the participation of over 7 million young people.
Specifically, within the "Five Initiatives Olympiad," volleyball, streetball, football, mini-football, athletics, table tennis, workout, and wrestling competitions, as well as the "Mushoira," "Ibrat," and "Zakovat" contests at the neighborhood-sector-district (city) levels, and the national stage of the "Five Initiatives Paralympiad" were held.
From June 10-25, artist exhibitions, poetry nights, intellectual games, various quizzes, youth festivals under the slogan "New Uzbekistan Youth, Let's Unite!" and over 200 large gala concerts were held in all regions of the Republic, parks, and cultural and recreational parks.
In open dialogues with young people organized by ministry and agency heads, sector leaders, governors, and university rectors, more than 1.5 million young people were engaged. Out of approximately 3,500 issues and suggestions identified during these meetings, over 2,200 (62%) were resolved on the spot. Roadmaps were developed for the remaining 1,300 suggestions and issues.
Additionally, the "Most Active Young Employee of the Year" competition, the "Zakovat" intellectual game, and sports competitions were organized among employees of ministries, agencies, and organizations, involving about 550,000 young professionals.
Mobile operators sent SMS notifications in Uzbek and Russian to all subscribers with the message, "Congratulations on June 30 - Youth Day!"
A total of 14 youth facilities were inaugurated in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent city.
For reference: 2 Universal sports complexes, 2 "Youth Tech Parks," 2 "IT Parks," 1 "Youth Center," 1 chess school, 1 "IT Academy," 1 "Barkamol Avlod" Children's Creativity Center, 1 university, 1 camp, 1 information-library center, and 1 "Creative Park" building.
Over the years, 28 young people who achieved active and positive results in the fields of science, education, production, agriculture, entrepreneurship, culture, arts, and sports were awarded the "Mard O'g'lon" state prize, and 35 were awarded the "Kelajak Bunyodkori" medal.
To ensure the high-level implementation of the proposals and initiatives made by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at international events, the "World Youth Festival" was held for the first time from June 26-30.
Within the festival framework, 15 international events, over 40 bilateral and multilateral meetings and projects, and over 100 competitions and contests were held, with more than 700 foreign delegates from 92 countries and nearly 1 million local youths participating.
The festival's opening ceremony took place on June 26 at the amphitheater in the "Eternal City" complex in Samarkand, with the participation of 1,500 young people.
Events within the festival were held on special programs in Bukhara, Samarkand, Khorezm, Tashkent regions, and Tashkent city on June 27-28.
Specifically, in Samarkand region, the Islamic Cooperation Organization Youth Forum, the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Summit, and the Global Education Forum with the participation of TOP-500 universities were held.
In Bukhara region, the Central Asia Youth Forum, an expert meeting on establishing the Central and South Asia Youth Council, the South Korea and Central Asia Youth Leaders Forum, and the Uzbekistan-Korea Youth Forums were held.
In Tashkent region, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Young Entrepreneurs Forum, and the Uzbekistan-Japan Youth Forum were held.
In Khorezm region, the Uzbekistan-India Youth Forum and the Central Asia-China Young Talents Forum were held.
In Tashkent city, the Turkic Council Young Leaders Forum (eco-camp), the "Young Reader" contest, a chess tournament, a Youth Parliaments meeting, a scientific-practical conference aimed at studying youth issues, and a business marathon with young entrepreneurs were held under the "Tashkent - CIS Youth Capital" project.
During the festival, meetings and exhibitions with famous foreign and local scientists, culture and art representatives, entrepreneurs, and athletes were organized at the Youth Creativity Palace in Tashkent on June 27-29.

Additionally, a "Youth Town" consisting of 4 large pavilions and 11 venues was set up at the Youth Creativity Palace, encompassing directions in science, crafts, entrepreneurship, handicrafts, IT, patriotism, and the five initiatives olympiad.
Over 5,000 young people participated in more than 50 different interactive games, quizzes, master classes, exhibitions, poetry recitals, contests, and competitions organized in this town, with around 500 deserving youths being encouraged.
At the Tashkent Photography House, the "Dream" exhibition was organized (charity funds of 151 million soums were collected for children's eye surgeries), and the "Flight" young creators' exhibition was held at the Uzbekistan Gallery of Fine Arts.
During the international art week "CAEx Uzbekistan" held on June 27-29, national exhibitions, art, fashion, and eco-activist discussions with experts were organized, involving over 7,000 local and foreign youths.
Additionally, the international competition "Witty and Clever" Friendship Cup in Uzbek language was held for the first time among the youth of 7 countries at the "Friendship of Peoples" Art Palace.
On June 28, a meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with youth was held at the Kuksaroy residence, with 65,000 youths participating from all regions and district (city) studios.
A gala concert with the participation of nearly 10,000 youths was held at the "Humo Arena" ice palace in Tashkent city on June 30, in celebration of Youth Day and the closing ceremony of the World Youth Festival.
For reference: Concert programs organized in 14 regions and 208 districts (cities) covered nearly 1 million youths. At the beginning of the events, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's congratulatory message to the youth of Uzbekistan was read out.
Around 1,400 reports about the projects and events organized within the framework of "Youth Month," 85 festive shows, talk shows, broadcasts, telethons, and special video clips were covered in the mass media and social networks, and a special issue of the "Youth Voice" newspaper was published.
Festival events were widely covered by over 100 foreign mass media outlets, including "Azertag," "TRT Avaz," "Al-Arabiya," "Mir 24," "Sputniknews," "Rossiya 24," "Kazinform," "The Halal Times," and others, as well as on the official web pages of international organizations.
