Uzbekistan’s youth policy on the international stage

By the initiative of the Head of State, a program titled “New Generation Entrepreneurs” has been launched to train 40,000 young people in business in cooperation with foreign universities.
For this purpose, a delegation led by Alisher Sa’dullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, is holding a series of productive meetings in New York City:
1. Cornell Tech: During a meeting with program leader Fernando Gomez-Bakero, an agreement was reached to introduce the “Runway” program in Uzbekistan through the “UzCombinator” project and invite experts to the country.
2. New York University (Entrepreneurship Institute): Together with representatives Kit Mauppa and Rebekka Gard Silver, the institute’s startup ecosystem was studied, and cooperation was established between special platforms and the “Yoshlar Ventures” fund.
3. Founder Institute: With representative Reid Hamilton, discussions were held on engaging talented Uzbek founders in the organization’s 14-week global program and connecting them to international investments.
4. Endeavor: With director Evan Bullington, issues of integrating young startup projects into the global network and entering international markets were discussed.
5. United Nations Youth Office: In dialogue with head Felipe Paulliyer, practical steps were defined to organize youth internships at the UN, address regional water challenges, and strengthen youth mental health.
