A meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission was held

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of MIIT Khurram Teshabaev, as well as heads of relevant ministries and agencies of both countries.
The discussions highlighted the steady growth in bilateral trade and reaffirmed the parties’ commitment to expanding cooperation in key areas: agriculture, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, including the localization of pharmaceutical production, expansion of medicine supplies, and the development of professional human capital.
The parties also underscored the importance of advancing cooperation in trade and services, promoting joint tourism initiatives, strengthening humanitarian, scientific and educational exchanges, and implementing the nuclear power plant construction project in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, a package of documents was signed, including the Protocol, the Interregional Cooperation Roadmap for 2025–2030, the Trade and Economic Cooperation Plan with the Bashkortostan for 2025–2026, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian SME Corporation and the Agency for the Development of Light Industry of Uzbekistan.
