The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 865 dated December 20, 2024 “On approval of the Strategy for further improvement and development of the public procurement system in 2025–2027” was adopted.
The purpose of this Strategy is to increase the share of “green” public procurement in 2025–2027, as well as to determine a public procurement policy aimed at improving and developing a stable, broadly competitive public procurement system, which is important for economic growth.
Information on the work carried out and results achieved in the field of public-private partnership in 2024, as well as plans for 2025.
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 8, 2025 No. 210 "On approval of the Strategy for improving the public finance management system for 2025-2030" was adopted.
On April 21, 2025, the Presidential Decree "On the Privatization Program for 2025" was adopted.
According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, the volume of market services provided for January-March 2026 amounted to 293,605.1 billion soums. Compared to January-March 2025, the volume of market services rendered increased by 16.1% in real terms.
In January–March 2026, the main factor in the growth of market services provided was the growth of trade, financial, and transport services.
Compared to January-March 2025, the volume of financial services for January-March 2026 increased by 10,263.2 billion soums and reached 46,796.4 billion soums. The growth rate was 122.4%.
The largest contribution to the total growth of market services was made by trade services (growth by 19.4%, contribution to the total growth by 4.9 percentage points), financial services (by 22.4%, 3.4 percentage points), transport services (by 13.2%, 2.3 percentage points), accommodation and food services (by 8.6%, 1.4 percentage points), communication and informatization services (by 17.0%, 1.3 percentage points), education services (by 22.5%, 0.8 percentage points), other services (by 13.7%, 0.6 percentage points), as well as services related to real estate (by 15.0%, 0.4 percentage points). The growth in services in the fields of architecture, engineering surveys, technical testing and analysis (by 18.1%), leasing (15.3%), computer and household goods repair (12.5%), healthcare (12.0%), and individual services (10.7%) added a total of about 1.0 percentage points to the growth.
During the period under review in 2026, the volume of market services provided by small businesses amounted to 168,125.2 billion soums, or 57.3% of the total volume of market services. Compared to January-March 2025, the growth rate was 116.5%.
According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in January-March 2026, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Republic of Uzbekistan at current prices amounted to 447.9 trillion soums and, compared to the corresponding period of 2025, increased in real terms by 8.7%.
Economic growth rates are driven by positive dynamics in the main sectors of the economy. Thus, the gross value added created by all its sectors amounted to 95.4% of the total GDP and increased by 8.7% (contribution to GDP growth - 8.4 percentage points). In the GDP structure, net taxes on products amounted to 4.6% and showed an increase of 8.2% (contribution to GDP growth - 0.3 percentage points).
