Xurram Teshabayev and Aydar Abildabekov Discuss Increasing Trade Turnover to $10 Billion and Expanding Cooperation

At the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister Khurram Teshabayev held a meeting with Aydar Abildabekov, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The discussions focused on current issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation, including projects in the electrical engineering and textile industries, mechanical engineering, infrastructure development, pharmaceuticals, and the agro-industrial complex. It was noted that between January and August of this year, trade turnover between the two countries increased by 15%, surpassing USD 3 billion.
The parties reviewed the implementation of existing agreements and, in particular, the tasks aimed at increasing bilateral trade to USD 10 billion. Special attention was also given to preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
