Uzbekistan and Belarus Discuss Expansion of Cooperation in Mechanical Engineering

On August 27, 2025, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Khurram Teshabayev, held a meeting with representatives of the Belarusian company “KUVO” and relevant ministries and agencies.
“KUVO” is one of the leading manufacturing enterprises in Belarus and the CIS, specializing in the production of a wide range of glass products for various types of transport.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the mechanical engineering sector and the implementation of joint investment projects. In particular, opportunities were reviewed to expand the production and supply of laminated glass, panoramic and pivoting windows for buses, as well as flat and curved tempered glass for vehicles.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening the partnership and agreed to continue negotiations on potential joint projects. To this end, an additional exchange of technical and economic information was agreed upon to assess parameters of localization initiatives.
