Uzbekistan – Japan: A New Stage in Investment Cooperation

On August 27, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shokhrukh Gulamov, held a meeting with Mr. Yoshiaki Takemasu, Vice President of Mitsui & Co.
Mitsui & Co. is one of the world’s largest multinational corporations and a core member of the Mitsui Group. The corporation operates over 500 subsidiaries and maintains 126 offices across 62 countries, actively developing projects in machinery, energy, chemicals, mining, and metallurgy.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed the progress of joint initiatives in the fields of energy, building materials production, and infrastructure development.
Particular attention was given to prospects for expanding strategic cooperation, including new investment projects in geology and urban development.
