On August 27, Tashkent hosted a demonstration of innovative equipment at the Center for Advanced Technologies in Food Freezing, Processing, and Storage, created by Air Products as part of a new project. The event was attended by representatives of ministries, government agencies, and the business community. Abdulla Khashimov, Advisor to the Head of MIIT emphasized that the Center represents an important milestone in modernizing Uzbekistan’s agro-industrial complex and in introducing advanced technologies for deep processing of agricultural products.
The Center is equipped with shock freezing systems and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technology. It provides local producers with the opportunity to observe these technologies in operation, receive training, adapt solutions to their enterprises, and evaluate the advantages of cryogenic freezing. The newly commissioned plant in Navoi, which produces up to 120 tons of high-purity (99.99%) liquid carbon dioxide per day supports the Center’s activities.
The Center’s operations are closely aligned with national goals to strengthen the export potential of the agro-industrial sector. The complex has obtained all necessary quality and compliance certifications, including the international “Halal” standard, which will help expand the export geography of Uzbek products and enhance their competitiveness in global markets.
