The delegation of Uzbekistan’s MIIT held a series of key meetings with major Chinese investors in Tianjin

On July 31 in Tianjin (PRC), Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held negotiations with the leadership of leading Chinese companies to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, energy, transport, and tourism sectors.
With Sinoma Energy Conservation, the parties discussed projects related to gypsum exploration in Jizzakh region, wind turbine production, establishment of an innovative energy technopark, and the signing of a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership.
Tianjin Urban Construction Group Holdings expressed its readiness to participate in the construction of bridges and highways in Uzbekistan, the development of metro and LRT systems, creation of drainage infrastructure, as well as sharing expertise and contributing to infrastructure technoparks and engineering centers.
Tianjin Rail Transit Group Corporation presented advanced metro solutions, including automation, traffic control, and personnel training. The delegation visited the company’s technology center and transportation management system.
ST Wonderful International confirmed its plans to construct a five-star “Beijing” hotel in Tashkent and develop a large-scale family entertainment park.
As a result of the meetings, the parties agreed to initiate preparatory activities and continue the dialogue. The Uzbek side reaffirmed its readiness for long-term cooperation with Chinese partners in key areas.
