Envirol Explore Collaboration on Central Asia’s First Waste-to-Biofuel Plant

On May 13, the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with a delegation led by Elham Pourtangestani, CEO of Envirol, a UAE-based company.
Envirol commenced operations in Dubai in 2006. It is a joint venture with the Government of Dubai, specializing in the recycling of used oil, with a daily processing capacity exceeding 500,000 liters. Envirol is a subsidiary of the Alserkal Group.
The parties discussed the prospects for constructing the first waste-to-biofuel plant in Central Asia, to be located in Uzbekistan.
