On April 18, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with a Japanese delegation headed by the Mayor of Nara, Gen Nakagawa.
The delegation comprised representatives of leading Japanese companies, including Forest Home, Morinaraduketen, Clam Group, Nara Kotsu Bus Lines, Withonoware, Rire Stage, Seiwa Giken, Sakurug, Seiyo Kosan, Reiwa Switch, among others.
During the meeting, the parties engaged in a constructive dialogue on enhancing bilateral cooperation. Key areas of focus included healthcare, information and communication technologies, the hospitality sector, and expanding exports of Uzbek food products to the Japanese market.
The Japanese side commended the organization of the joint business forum held on April 17 in Samarkand, highlighting its role in strengthening business ties between the cities of Nara and Samarkand.
Concluding the meeting, representatives of the Japanese delegation affirmed their commitment to further developing a mutually beneficial partnership and implementing joint projects in priority sectors.
