The Uzbek-Chinese Business Forum was held in Tashkent

On January 16 of this year, the Uzbek-Chinese business forum took place in Tashkent, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event marked a significant advancement in strengthening ties between business communities, fostering new projects, and enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. It was attended by Yu Jun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China, along with heads of relevant departments and over 400 business representatives from Uzbekistan and China.
In their speeches, the speakers highlighted the steadily growing scale of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in recent years. Today, China stands as Uzbekistan's largest trade and investment partner.
By the end of 2024, the volume of Chinese investments in our country exceeded $10 billion, while the total trade turnover reached $13.1 billion.
There are 3,357 enterprises in Uzbekistan that involve Chinese capital. Chinese companies are executing projects across various regions of Uzbekistan in sectors such as energy, light industry, infrastructure development, food production, geological exploration, and other areas.
Participants were informed about the favorable conditions established in Uzbekistan for facilitating business operations, safeguarding the rights and interests of entrepreneurs, and highlighting key aspects of the country's investment and industrial potential. The government expressed its commitment to providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs throughout the implementation and ongoing operation of investment projects.
Within the framework of the forum, presentations highlighting the investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan were conducted, and meetings in both B2B and B2G formats were organized. Participants had the opportunity to establish new business connections, discuss promising projects, and finalize mutually beneficial agreements.
At the conclusion of the forum, an open dialogue with entrepreneurs was held, during which international participants received thorough answers to their inquiries regarding the organization and execution of entrepreneurial activities in our country.
