Uzbekistan and Germany Agree on Financing for 8 Projects in 2026–2027

On October 7, intergovernmental negotiations between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on financial and technical cooperation for 2026–2027 were held in Tashkent.
The Uzbek delegation was headed by Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, while the German delegation was led by Christiane Amari, Head of the Division for Central Asia, Pakistan and Afghanistan at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.
The negotiations focused on priority areas of bilateral cooperation in green economy, vocational education, technical regulation, energy, public administration, and social protection.
As part of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on German financing for 8 projects in 2026–2027.
Following the negotiations, the Protocol of Negotiations on Development Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany was signed.
