On 10 September, a meeting was held via videoconference between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Kamel Rezig, Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria.
The parties discussed expanding trade, economic, investment and industrial cooperation, increasing bilateral trade volumes, as well as organizing direct negotiations on priority product categories.
Initiatives were also put forward to conclude a Preferential Trade Agreement, establish an Intergovernmental Commission, and create an Uzbekistan–Algeria Business Council.
The parties agreed to continue working on the practical implementation of the agreements reached and to translate them into concrete projects.
