Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On 26–27 August, working meetings were held in Namangan and Andijan Regions under the leadership of Shokhrukh Gulamov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of heads and staff of regional departments, deputy khokims of cities and districts responsible for investment, as well as heads of free economic zone directorates.

The meetings reviewed key tasks related to the utilization of foreign direct investment, achievement of export targets and timely commissioning of major investment projects for the first nine months of the year.

Particular attention was paid to information systems providing investment monitoring, export monitoring, post-monitoring, as well as monitoring of industrial and special zones.

Responsible officials were given specific instructions to ensure the achievement of target indicators and accelerate project implementation.

In Andijan Region, the delegation also conducted on-site reviews of major projects implemented with foreign investment and already commissioned.
