Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade with Damdin-Od Dulguun, Executive Director of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries.

The parties discussed prospects for further developing trade, economic, transport and logistics cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia. In 2025, bilateral trade amounted to USD 51.8 million. The results of the business forum held in May this year with the participation of more than 70 companies from the two countries were also noted.

Particular attention was paid to developing the production of high value-added goods, building resilient supply chains, exploring new international transport routes, simplifying trade procedures and digitalizing cross-border processes.

It was noted that the implementation of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project will create additional opportunities for developing Mongolia’s intermodal transport links with Uzbekistan, other Central Asian countries and the South Caucasus.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate in the preparation and organization of the 25th CAREC Ministerial Conference, which will be held in Ulaanbaatar in October this year
