Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan Discussed the Development of Industrial Cooperation and Promotion of Joint Projects

On 28 July in Bishkek, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held meetings with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Erlist Akunbekov, Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov, and Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Ravshanbek Sabirov.
The parties reviewed key areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, discussed the advancement of joint projects, and explored further opportunities to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was given to cooperation in geology, pharmaceuticals, the electrical engineering industry, agriculture, and other promising sectors. The discussions also focused on the processing of wool, leather and hides, as well as the cultivation and supply of currants, potatoes, and rice.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed on practical follow-up measures to advance the proposals discussed, launch new joint initiatives, and expand direct cooperation between relevant government agencies and the business communities of the two countries.
