Akram Aliyev Discussed Expanding Trade and Economic Cooperation with Germany’s Deputy Ambassador

On July 17, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Marion Edel, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for expanding Uzbekistan–Germany cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, and technology. It was noted that in 2025, bilateral trade increased by 13.2% to reach USD 1.4 billion, while the volume of utilized German investments amounted to USD 6.4 billion.
Particular attention during the talks was devoted to preparations for the next round of Uzbekistan–Germany intergovernmental negotiations on development cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue practical cooperation in the identified priority areas.
