JAC Motors to Accelerate Transition to Full-Cycle Vehicle Production in Uzbekistan

On 15 July, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov held a meeting with Yu Yan, Chief Executive Officer of JAC Motors.
JAC Motors is one of China's largest state-owned automotive manufacturing groups, headquartered in Hefei, Anhui Province.
During the meeting, the parties noted that the launch of the JAC Motors plant in the Yangi Avlod Special Industrial Zone in May 2026 marked an important milestone in the development of Uzbekistan's modern automotive industry and the expansion of industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was devoted to the further implementation of the project. The parties discussed plans to accelerate the transition of the enterprise from SKD assembly to CKD production as early as next year, as well as measures to deepen production localization, expand the plant's export potential, and introduce advanced manufacturing technologies.
