Exchange notes “Economic and Social Development Programs” were signed with Japan

On July 2, 2024, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Hatori Takashi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed Exchange Notes for the "Economic and Social Development Program" valued at 1 billion yen (approximately $6.3 million). This program is part of the grant assistance provided by the Government of Japan.
Consequently, Uzbekistan will receive an additional four medical mobile containers, which are equipped with computed tomography scanners and X-ray equipment. This will enhance the capacity to deliver effective medical aid across the nation.
Both parties reaffirmed their dedication to advancing collaborative efforts, particularly in terms of improving access to high-quality medical services within Uzbekistan.
Computed tomography scanners are essential for the diagnosis of a broad spectrum of medical conditions. A mobile medical container can be swiftly deployed to any location, including areas affected by emergencies.
