On 6 March, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Laszlo Wolf, Member of the Board and Deputy CEO of OTP Bank.
OTP Group is one of Hungary’s leading banking and financial groups. The Group operates 1,656 branches in total. Its assets amount to €102 billion, with a market capitalization of €12.4 billion. The number of clients exceeds 17 million, while the workforce totals 41,000 employees. The return on equity stands at 9.8%.
During the meeting, the parties discussed OTP Group’s plans for the further implementation of the privatization project of “Ipoteka-bank”. It was also noted that the company plans to launch a new mobile banking platform aimed at expanding digital services and improving customer convenience.
Particular attention was also given to the implementation of a poultry cluster project in the Syrdarya region. It was emphasized that the project will contribute to strengthening food security, developing modern agro-industrial infrastructure, and establishing efficient agricultural value chains.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and OTP Group, as well as implementing new joint projects.
