8th Meeting of the Uzbekistan–European Union Subcommittee on Cooperation Held in Uzbekistan

On 9 February, the 8th meeting of the Uzbekistan–European Union Subcommittee on Cooperation was held at the MIIT.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, as well as a delegation of the EU led by Toivo Klaar, Ambassador of the EU to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Charlotte Adriaen, Head of the Central Asia and Afghanistan Unit at the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission (DG INTPA).
The parties reviewed the current state of cooperation and identified priority areas for further partnership. Discussions focused on investment, trade and industrial development, digital transformation, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, education, civil society development, gender equality, and regional cooperation.
The importance of expanding practical cooperation, promoting innovation, and strengthening the long-term strategic partnership was emphasized. Participants underlined the significance of joint efforts aimed at supporting sustainable development, improving the quality of public services, and advancing regional integration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and ensuring the effective implementation of the agreements reached in order to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
