Today in Tashkent, the opening ceremony of the regular Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair took place. Over recent years, the fair has established itself as an effective platform for strengthening industrial cooperation and promoting import-substitution projects. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of MIIT Khurram Teshabayev, as well as heads of relevant ministries and government agencies.
A key feature of the fair is its systematic approach to the development of local production. Within the framework of the event, imported goods are analyzed, priority product groups are identified, and ready-made investment proposals are developed to organize their production domestically. Overall, the fair presents more than 100 promising project proposals across various sectors of the economy, aimed at localization, expansion of processing capacities, and the production of competitive goods.
The fair is being held over 5 days at the Uzexpocentre, across 4 pavilions. It brings together around 5,000 sectoral and regional enterprises, with 780 companies showcasing over 6,200 types of products. Representatives of more than 70 international brands and major foreign manufacturers are taking part in the event.
As a result , the signing of new cooperation agreements, the launch of investment projects, and the expansion of import-substituting production are expected.
