Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Holds Eighth Meeting of the Supervisory Board

On 10 December, the eighth meeting of the Supervisory Board was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The event was attended by members of the Board, senior officials from ministries and agencies, and representatives of the university administration. The meeting was chaired by Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
During the session, Rector Gulnora Rikhsiyeva presented a report on the university’s performance in 2025 and its plans for 2026. It was noted that the institution ensured financial stability over the past year, introduced new academic programs, and demonstrated growth in research outputs.
Particular attention was devoted to organizational and staffing matters. Participants reviewed candidates for the positions of Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Vice-Rector for International Relations, after which the corresponding decisions were adopted. The Board emphasized the need to continue improving the quality of education and strengthening the training of highly qualified specialists.
