Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On 28 November, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Omar Bahram, Chief Executive Officer of the investment company UzOman.

The parties noted the steady development of Uzbekistan-Oman investment cooperation and the positive dynamics of engagement in recent years. The discussion included an exchange of views on ongoing projects involving UzOman, as well as ways to improve the effectiveness of joint activities and expand practical cooperation. It was emphasized that the partnership creates additional opportunities to launch new initiatives and attract investment.

Particular attention was given to prospects for cooperation in the financial sector. In this regard, the initiative to establish a new bank in Uzbekistan in partnership with foreign investors was considered. Organizational matters, regulatory issues, and the importance of a structured, step-by-step approach to project implementation were discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening business dialogue, expanding institutional contacts, and continuing constructive information exchange in key areas of cooperation.
