The regular meeting of the Council on tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign trade was held

On November 28 of this year, the regular meeting of the Council on Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of Foreign Trade was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Council, Laziz Kudratov.
The main purpose of the meeting was to review proposals aimed at ensuring price stability for essential consumer goods in the domestic market, as well as supplying national industries with high-quality raw materials and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic products in the internal market.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as enterprises and organizations operating in the food sector, agriculture, textile, leather and footwear, construction, and metallurgical industries.
The agenda of the meeting included the following issues:

extension of the period for applying zero import customs duty rates to key food and consumer goods;

revision of the duration of import customs duty exemptions for raw materials, supplies, and accessories used in the leather, footwear, and fur industries;

optimization of import customs duty rates on machinery and raw materials used in the production of domestic agricultural and textile products;
-
introduction of changes to export customs duty rates on chemical products and raw materials for the textile industry.
The proposals developed on these issues were discussed in detail with the participation of representatives from relevant sectors and enterprises.
Following the meeting, the members of the Council adopted decisions to take the necessary measures on the matters considered in accordance with the agenda.
