Uzbekistan and Iran Hold Talks on Further Expansion of Trade and Economic Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev held a meeting with Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Atabak.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in priority sectors. Special attention was given to fostering cooperation in metallurgy and transport, along with mechanisms for stimulating joint production.
Currently, more than 220 enterprises with Iranian capital are successfully operating in Uzbekistan, implementing projects in the industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Both sides expressed readiness to further strengthen economic partnership and to develop sustainable mechanisms for long-term collaboration.
