Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Discussed with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran the Further Expansion of Trade and Economic Relations

On November 10, 2025, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Atabak. The parties discussed the expansion of trade and economic relations, implementation of joint projects, and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Special attention was paid to enhancing cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. The sides reviewed practical initiatives aimed at establishing joint production facilities and promoting goods to regional markets.
It was noted that in 2024, the bilateral trade volume amounted to USD 500 million. As of September 1, 2025, there are 222 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with Iranian capital participation, implementing projects in the construction, transport, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere and marked an important step toward further expanding practical cooperation and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
