In connection with reports circulated on social media regarding the territory of the “Chilanzar Oktepa” archaeological site located in Tashkent city, we inform the following.
A field inspection was conducted by specialists of the Tashkent City Department of the Agency for Cultural Heritage. As a result, it was established that household waste had accumulated in certain areas of the site. In order to eliminate these shortcomings, the territory was cleaned in cooperation with the Shaykhantakhur District Hokimiyat, waste was removed, and the necessary landscaping works were carried out. At present, relevant measures are being taken to ensure continuous monitoring of the site and to systematically organize its maintenance and improvement.
We also inform that the landscaping and fencing works of the archaeological site were carried out by the Shaykhantakhur District Hokimiyat in accordance with clause 1 of Protocol No. 2 dated February 7, 2025 of the Scientific-Expert Council under the Agency for Cultural Heritage.
Additionally, detailed information regarding the situation at this archaeological site was provided by the Agency of Cultural Heritage on December 14, 2025.
For reference, the “Chilanzar Oktepa” archaeological site is included in the National List of Immovable Cultural Heritage Objects in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 846 dated October 4, 2019 and is under state protection.
