Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Otabek Mahkamov took part in the event, which took place in Moscow on April 18 this year.

The participants discussed issues related to the establishment of the "Honorary Worker of SCO Education" badge in 2024-2026, action plans for the implementation of the "Agreement between the governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states on cooperation in the field of education" and improvement of the quality of education in higher educational institutions.

During the event, bilateral talks were held with the ministries of higher education of the member countries of the organization.

It should be noted that the present mechanism of cooperation between the SCO education ministers has been in place since 2006.
