A meeting was held at the Ministry of Education and Science with Professor Jun Young Lee, Vice President of South Korea’s Cheju Halla University. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in digitalisation and the development of artificial intelligence education.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish ongoing cooperation with the Ministry’s Centre for Digital Education and Artificial Intelligence Development, set up artificial intelligence laboratories in educational institutions, and jointly seek grant funding to implement these initiatives.
At the initial stage, AI laboratories are planned to be established in one technical college and one school. The plans also include professional development courses for teachers, internships, and hackathons.
The signing of the relevant memoranda of cooperation is planned for a meeting to be held in South Korea at the end of November this year.
