Sherzod Asadov, Head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Presidential Press Secretary, attended the forum’s opening ceremony and read out a message of greetings from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the participants.
“The invaluable wealth of our region, home to nearly 85 million people, is our younger generation, eager for knowledge and driven by great dreams and aspirations. The most effective way to transform this vast demographic potential into a powerful intellectual force is through quality, modern education and upbringing.
Recently, we adopted a separate decree bringing the administration of preschool and school education, vocational and higher education, and science under a unified system. In doing so, we aim to ensure continuity across all stages of education — from acquiring foundational knowledge and values to becoming highly qualified professionals and scholars.
Our strategic goal in this area is to transform Central Asia into a region of mutual trust and friendship, a shared intellectual space that brings together science and learning, advanced technologies and innovation.”
The forum brings together education ministers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, representatives of education authorities from several other countries, leaders of prominent international universities, representatives of international organizations, and experts.
The discussions focus on pressing issues in education, prospects for cooperation between higher education institutions, improving the effectiveness of scientific research, supporting innovative developments, and strengthening international academic ties.
