They also emphasised the need to make effective use of the capabilities of Uzbek scientists and research institutions, align scientific research with the real needs of the economy, and master modern technologies.
This year’s event stands out for its broad international participation and the diversity of innovations on display. Around 200 representatives from more than 30 countries are participating, including Japan, China, South Korea, the United States, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Singapore, Germany, France, Switzerland, India, Iran, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Around 50 international companies, higher education institutions, research centres, venture capital funds, financial organisations and other partners are also taking part. The event provides an important platform for expanding international scientific and technological ties, learning from advanced practices and discussing promising joint projects.
One of the main highlights of the week is the exhibition of innovative developments. Covering an area of more than 15,000 square metres, the exhibition features a total of 265 exhibitors, including 225 local and 40 international participants, presenting their products and innovations. The exhibition area includes 12 thematic sections and 240 stands, showcasing 750 innovative products.
Higher education institutions and research organisations, innovative businesses, spin-off companies, young startups, the Yashnabad Technopark and regional youth technoparks, participants in the World Bank’s MUNIS project, inventors and innovators are presenting their developments. Representatives from China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Germany, Hungary and Kazakhstan are also showcasing their technologies and innovative solutions. This provides visitors with an opportunity to explore domestic innovations, learn from international experience and establish new partnerships.
A total of 21 events are scheduled over the three-day programme, covering various areas of science, innovative entrepreneurship and international cooperation. These include six international and local forums, five award ceremonies, three sessions, two Demo Day events, two presentations, one conference, and two scientific dialogues and roundtable discussions.
The programme will facilitate direct dialogue among scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs and investors. Discussions will focus on translating scientific developments into practical applications, commercialising research results and advancing new projects.
Another important priority of the week is the development of international business cooperation. Through B2B meetings, local enterprises will have the opportunity to establish contacts with foreign companies, discuss mutually beneficial proposals and reach preliminary agreements on joint projects. These meetings will help strengthen links between science and industry, bring innovative products to market and expand international business relations.
As part of InnoWeek–2026, a practical initiative will also be implemented to expand the material and technical capacity of educational and research institutions. In particular, 50 Korean-made tractors powered by environmentally friendly compressed natural gas will be donated free of charge to higher education institutions and research organisations.
Special attention is also being given to recognising scientists, inventors, researchers and young innovators who have achieved significant results in science and innovation. During the week, winners of the “100 Best Innovative Projects of the Region” competition, the “Best Inventor of a Higher Education Institution” competition, and competitions in the field of intellectual activity will receive awards. In addition, recipients of the “Leader of Innovative Ideas” badge of honour will be recognised. These ceremonies aim to support scientific research and new ideas while encouraging greater innovation.
The week is also designed to offer an engaging experience for visitors, including students, children and parents. A dedicated children’s zone, a VR area offering virtual journeys, and innovative interactive entertainment activities have been organised. Visitors will be able not only to explore modern technologies but also to experience their capabilities through interactive activities.
InnoWeek–2026 aims to transform scientific ideas into practical solutions, bring domestic innovations to the international stage, and strengthen cooperation between science and business. The week opens up new opportunities for scientists, researchers, students, young innovators, startup founders, entrepreneurs and investors, fostering partnerships and paving the way for promising projects.
