Representatives of more than 40 universities from over 10 countries took part in the event. The two-day program brought together more than 1,150 senior school students, over 300 school counselors, and approximately 200 school principals.
The exhibition featured representatives of educational institutions from Australia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong (China), Grenada, Germany, Spain, Canada, Kazakhstan, the United States, France, China, and Switzerland.
Organizations that provide information about study-abroad opportunities and support students in navigating international education pathways also participated in the exhibition.
The event served as an important platform for establishing direct communication with international universities, learning about academic programs and admission requirements, and developing long-term partnerships between schools in Uzbekistan and foreign higher education institutions.
The opening ceremony took place today, focusing on the development of international educational cooperation, guiding talented young people towards higher education, and strengthening the professional capacity of school counselors.
Following the opening ceremony, professional meetings were organized for school principals and counselors with representatives of international universities. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation between educational institutions, guiding students towards international universities, and exploring prospects for future collaboration.
In the second half of the day, an international university exhibition was organized for students and school counselors. Participants had the opportunity to speak directly with university admissions representatives and learn about academic programs, admission requirements, application procedures, and opportunities to study abroad.
These meetings enabled young people to identify educational pathways aligned with their academic interests and future career goals, gain a closer understanding of international higher education systems, and develop plans for their further studies.
The exhibition also gave representatives of foreign universities an opportunity to learn about Uzbekistan's education system, exchange experience with local schools and teachers, and discuss potential areas for future cooperation.
On October 28, the event continued with training sessions and seminars designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of school counselors.
The sessions addressed how to guide students applying to foreign universities, assist them with preparing and submitting applications to international higher education institutions, establish effective communication with universities, and improve educational guidance activities in schools.
In addition, representatives of international universities visited several schools in Tashkent, where they met with students and teachers. During these visits, participants exchanged information about international education opportunities and discussed prospects for cooperation between schools and universities.
The second day's program helped expand school counselors' knowledge of international education, facilitate the exchange of experience, and strengthen partnerships with universities.
School counselors help students choose higher education institutions, define their academic goals, and prepare to apply to international universities.
For this reason, the event placed particular emphasis on enabling counselors to communicate directly with representatives of international universities, exchange experience, and develop their professional competencies.
The forum provided school principals and counselors with an opportunity to discuss ways to develop cooperation with international higher education institutions, improve support mechanisms for students, and increase the effectiveness of educational guidance.
Cooperation in this area will help talented students assess their abilities more accurately, make informed decisions about their future education, and take full advantage of international higher education opportunities.
