The Second Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Is Underway in Khankendi

The forum was organized jointly by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Representatives of nearly 30 higher education institutions from the two countries took part in the event.
The forum aimed to expand cooperation in education and science, promote joint initiatives in scientific research and innovation, and strengthen ties between universities.
In his address, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, spoke about the progress of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in education and science, the expansion of academic ties, and the implementation of joint initiatives.
As part of the forum, panel discussions were held with the participation of heads of leading higher education institutions from both countries.
Participants exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between universities and industrial enterprises, putting research findings into practice, enhancing innovation capacity, and developing international cooperation between higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
At the conclusion of the event, more than 40 memorandums of understanding were signed, providing for expanded inter-university cooperation and the implementation of joint scientific and academic initiatives.
