Heads of German partner organizations visited vocational schools in Tashkent

The first destination was the vocational school of the Shaykhontohur district. The institution educates 1,335 students in more than 10 specialties in full-time and dual forms of education. 321 students in 4 specialties are studying in the form of dual education in cooperation with such employers as Nur Tex LLC, Tashkent Real Tex LLC, Sintez Group LLC, JV BYD UZBEKISTAN FACTORY LLC.
Within the framework of the project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) "Support for the processes of reforming and modernizing the vocational education system in Uzbekistan", sets of sewing machines (21 sewing machines, 6 overlocks, 6 interlocks, 3 zigzags, 3 embroidery machines), 9 cutting tables, an ironing board and 3 multifunctional digital boards.
According to officials, 2,856 students of 13 specialties and 14 professions are studying at the Tashkent Transport Technical College in full-time, part-time and dual forms of education. Also, 462 students are studying in the form of dual education together with employers of the railway industry.
As part of the project, in cooperation with the German Sparkassenstiftung Foundation for International Cooperation, teachers of technical schools were trained as local trainers in the basics of business.
Andreas Schneider, Regional Director of the German development bank KfW, noted that within the framework of the project "Improvement of the Vocational Education System" the technical school will be provided with the most modern equipment and educational programs for training personnel based on German standards.
The members of the delegation particularly noted that during the visit of the German Chancellor to Samarkand in September of this year, an agreement was signed providing for the possibility of developing cooperation in the field of rail and road transport, as well as the construction of road infrastructure. .
In the near future, we plan to establish close cooperation in training specialists in this area in order to improve the efficiency of transport companies and the quality of the services they provide, - said Andreas Schneider.
