Tashkent State Medical University Holds “Student Induction Ceremony – 2026” for First-Year Students

The ceremony was attended by Otabek Imamov, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Aziz Meliboyev, Adviser to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation; Farhodjon Xapijayev, Chairman of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of Uzbekistan; as well as the university’s professors, teaching staff and students.
During the event, more than 5,000 young people admitted to the university’s first year took the student oath. The ceremony encourages students to remain committed to their chosen profession, acquire in-depth knowledge and practical skills, and fulfil their future responsibility of safeguarding human health with honour and dedication.
In addition, in recognition of 1 October — Teachers and Mentors Day, 150 distinguished professors and lecturers who have devoted many years of dedicated service to the university were honoured and presented with monetary awards.
Furthermore, 17 university employees were awarded the “Excellence in Higher Education” badge in accordance with the relevant order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
