A NEW PROCEDURE FOR ORGANIZING SUBJECT OLYMPIADS AMONG STUDENTS OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED

🔰 The development of assessment materials for Olympiads, the establishment of a talent pool of gifted students, and the coordination of organizational processes will be carried out by the Center for the Development of Higher Education and Global Cooperation under the Ministry.
📌 According to the Regulation:
▪️ A unified electronic information system will be maintained to register Olympiad participants, monitor the process, and ensure the transparent publication of results.
✅ National subject Olympiads will be held in two stages:
Stage 1 — among undergraduate students at higher education institutions;
Stage 2 — at designated lead higher education institutions selected by the Ministry.
▪️ Winners who secure 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at each stage will be recommended to advance to the next stage.
▪️ The examination rooms where Olympiads are held will be equipped with video surveillance cameras. The use of communication devices and additional information sources during the Olympiads is prohibited.
▪️ Olympiad results will be announced on the day of the competition.
▪️ Participants who disagree with the results may submit a written appeal to the Appeals Commission on the day the results are announced.
▪️ The list of prestigious international Olympiads in which students from Uzbekistan are expected to participate will be approved by the Ministry and updated annually.
▪️ The selection of national teams for international Olympiads, their targeted preparation, and arrangements for their participation will be carried out in accordance with a separate regulation.
How will the winners be rewarded?
National subject Olympiads:
🥇 1st place — 50 BCA for the student and 25 BCA for their mentor;
🥈 2nd place — 40 BCA for the student and 20 BCA for their mentor;
🥉 3rd place — 30 BCA for the student and 15 BCA for their mentor, as a one-time cash award.
International Olympiads:
🥇 1st place — 100 BCA for the student and 50 BCA for their mentor;
🥈 2nd place — 75 BCA for the student and 40 BCA for their mentor;
🥉 3rd place — 50 BCA for the student and 30 BCA for their mentor, as a one-time cash award.
In addition, mentors who prepare winners of international Olympiads will receive a monthly salary supplement equal to 100% of their official salary. Mentors who prepare winners of the second stage of national subject Olympiads will receive a monthly supplement equal to 50% of their official salary.
The Regulation also provides for the organization of additional subject Olympiads, in coordination with higher education institutions, government bodies, and other interested organizations.
🔖 By January 1, 2027, measures will be taken to organize international student Olympiads in chemistry and biology.
