A traditional oath-taking ceremony was held for students beginning their studies in the new academic year at the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino.

This year, nearly 1,300 students were admitted to the institute across 8 academic programmes. Sixty percent of them study under state grants.
During the ceremony, the future doctors pledged to remain devoted to their profession, protect the lives and health of their patients, and carry out their professional duties with honesty and responsibility.
The event also included a white coat ceremony for the students. It was noted that the institute operates a simulation centre equipped with modern medical training simulators, offers some specialised courses in English, and implements joint educational programmes and research projects with foreign higher education institutions as part of its international cooperation.
