A situation center established at the student campus now makes it possible to monitor the situation across the area in real time, consolidate various types of data within a single system, and conduct prompt analysis.
Currently, four universities operate there, with more than 71,000 students enrolled. The campus has 41 student dormitories providing accommodation for 15,000 students. Given that more than 80,000 students pass through the student campus each day, special attention is being paid to the effective organization of security.
A total of 117 surveillance cameras have been installed to monitor the areas surrounding universities, dormitories, shops, and food service facilities. The system contains data on nearly 75,000 students and is integrated with 17 information systems. This makes it possible to monitor attendance, identify risks at an early stage, and promptly determine the necessary measures.
The new platform has also digitalized the process of allocating students to dormitories. After submitting an online application, a student can see available vacancies, and the accommodation process is completed electronically. This helps reduce the human factor and prevent everyday corruption.
Through a mobile application developed for students, users can access information related to their education, submit electronic appeals to various organizations, and track the results online. Information about Tashkent's public transportation system has also been integrated into the application.
An SOS button has also been introduced to ensure student safety. In an emergency, a student can press the button to send a signal containing their location. This enables law enforcement agencies or emergency medical personnel to arrive at the scene promptly.
The platform also provides separate features for parents. They can access online information about their child's entry to and exit from the dormitory, class attendance, academic performance, and tuition contract payments.
Another important feature of the system is the identification of at-risk groups using artificial intelligence. Situations such as regularly missing classes, returning to the dormitory later than the designated time, and failing to make contract payments on time are analyzed. Students who require additional preventive support are automatically identified.
In particular, students who have missed more than 36 hours of classes are automatically placed in the “red” category by the system. This information enables tutors, prevention inspectors, and responsible staff of educational institutions to work with students in a targeted manner.
The platform also includes the ability to monitor the employment of graduates. Last year, 17,500 students graduated, of whom 14,000 found employment. Information on unemployed graduates is compiled by region, enabling responsible organizations to conduct targeted work with them.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly praised the capabilities of the digital platform and instructed that it also be introduced in other student dormitories across the republic.
As the Head of State emphasized, such systems can become an important tool not only for identifying existing problems but also for preventing them, strengthening preventive efforts, and creating a safe environment for students.
