Prospects for Cooperation with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Discussed

As part of his visit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, Oktam Salomov, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
During the visit, he familiarized himself with the university’s modern educational and research infrastructure, innovative laboratories, as well as the facilities and conditions created for students.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the university’s Vice-President for Academic Strategy and Data Analysis and Head of the Global Analysis and Strategy area, Dr. Alison Lloyd.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on training highly qualified specialists through partnership, introducing advanced scientific and technological solutions into Uzbekistan’s higher education system, enhancing the research capacity of national universities, and further developing the innovation ecosystem.
