National Rise: Tasks Under Seven National Programs Discussed in the Higher Education System

The meeting discussed the country’s new stage of development outlined in the speech delivered by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the ceremonial event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of state independence. Particular attention was given to the goal of making the coming decade an era of National Rise and to the tasks related to implementing seven national programs aimed at further enhancing human dignity.
Special attention was paid to the role of higher education institutions in implementing the priority tasks defined for the country’s new stage of development, as well as to the active participation of faculty members and students in this process.
It was noted that it is important to systematically and effectively communicate the essence and significance of the seven priority areas to the wider public, particularly young people, while expanding their knowledge and understanding of the reforms being implemented across the country.
In this regard, particular emphasis was placed on individual engagement with young people at higher education institutions based on the principle “Every Student Matters”, as well as on developing their knowledge and professional skills and supporting their talents and initiatives.
The meeting also discussed guiding young people toward modern knowledge and professions, training qualified specialists who meet the demands of the labor market, expanding dual education and practical training, and ensuring student employment.
In addition, higher education institutions were tasked with establishing outreach groups comprising leading scholars, faculty members, and young researchers to promote and explain the essence and significance of the seven priority areas.
The need to organize extensive awareness-raising activities through regional meetings, popular science lectures, media appearances, and digital content was also highlighted.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that higher education institutions should not remain solely centers for training specialists, but should also evolve into practical hubs that contribute to addressing socio-economic issues in their regions, preparing the population for modern professions, and providing scientific and technological support for entrepreneurial initiatives.
