The 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians has started in Samarkand

The prestigious international event, bringing together international representatives and young parliamentarians from different countries around the world, is attended by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation O‘ktam Salomov, as well as rectors of a number of higher education institutions.
At the beginning of the conference, a congratulatory message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressed to the participants was read aloud. Following this, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva opened the conference with welcoming remarks and greeted the participants.
The event, featuring open dialogue and lively discussions, is focusing on important issues such as youth rights in the digital world, decent work and economic opportunities, climate change, as well as the role and participation of young people in political processes.
A total of 168 volunteer translators, consisting of master's students and undergraduate students from the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, have been engaged in this prestigious international event.
The young volunteers are facilitating effective communication among conference participants, accompanying international guests, and making a valuable contribution to ensuring that the event is organized at a high level.
The 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians will conclude on September 6 this year.
