International Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in Higher Education Expands

The meeting focused on expanding international cooperation in higher education, promoting student and academic exchanges, launching joint educational programs, expanding educational opportunities for international students, and establishing sustainable mechanisms for cooperation.
Representatives of the Korea International University in Fergana (KIUF) also participated in the meeting. Established in 2019, the university organizes its educational process based on the Korean education system and implements joint educational programs in 2+2 and 3+1 formats in cooperation with higher education institutions in the Republic of Korea.
Currently, 128 students from the Korea International University in Fergana have come to Jungbu University to continue their studies under the 2+2 and 2+1 programs. Starting from the new academic year, they will continue their studies in the Republic of Korea in relevant fields related to artificial intelligence and smart mobility.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing international educational exchanges, sharing experience in Jungbu University’s education system and infrastructure, expanding international student exchange, and implementing new areas of cooperation in the field of education.
The memorandum will contribute to further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in higher education and expanding international educational opportunities for students.
