Dual Education: Scientists and Students of TIIAME National Research University Study the Electrical Networks of Yunusabad District

The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen the integration of education, science, and industry in order to train highly qualified engineering specialists for the modern energy sector.
Within the framework of these tasks, university scientists and industry experts are conducting comprehensive studies of the electrical networks in the Yunusabad district, including assessments of transformers characterized by significant energy losses.
During visual and instrumental inspections, specialists identified several technical issues, including localized overheating of contact connections, deterioration and deformation of current-carrying busbars, deficiencies in cable connections, and the use of switching equipment that does not adequately correspond to existing load requirements.
Practical measures to eliminate these deficiencies have already been initiated. These measures include replacing worn-out busbars, repairing contact connections, upgrading switching equipment, bringing cable connections into compliance with technical standards, and restoring the technical condition of transformers.
Notably, students enrolled in the university's dual education program are actively involved in this process. In particular, another practical training session was organized at the transformer substation of the Alay Bazaar complex in cooperation with the operational team of the Yunusabad District Power Supply Enterprise.
During the visit, future engineers became familiar with methods for diagnosing the technical condition of energy facilities, technological schemes, the operating principles of electrical equipment, and occupational safety requirements. They also participated directly in the process of eliminating identified defects, gaining valuable practical experience.
Such systematic and practice-oriented training enables students to reinforce the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university through real-world industrial experience while also fostering a modern engineering mindset.
These ongoing efforts contribute not only to improving the technical condition of the capital's electrical networks and increasing the reliability of power supply but also to preparing highly qualified professionals for the energy sector.
